What happens nextOnce you sign up, we'll get you set up in GratyShare and create your unique Graty QR code. We'll reach out to deliver your Graty QR stickers for the store. Customers scan, choose an amount, and pass it forward to someone else. When a Graty is purchased, you receive the payment instantly, like any other sale.
Payments go directly to your account through Stripe ⓘ— the same payment platform used by millions of businesses worldwide. GratyShare never holds your money. We take a small 4% platform fee, and that's it.When someone comes in to use a Graty, they simply show the QR code and your staff scans it to redeem it. The whole process takes just a few seconds.Posting the QR stickers in a visible spot is all it takes for people to start getting Gratys for others. As the community grows, mentioning it to regulars can help increase your sales. Why we use Stripe — and what that means for you

A quick read for anyone wondering about the screen that asks to connect your bank.

Who is Stripe?

Stripe is the payment processor that moves money from your customers to your bank. Over 2 million U.S. businesses use it — about 6% of every business in the country. If you've ever paid for something through Shopify, ordered a Lyft, or subscribed to a Substack, you've already used Stripe without knowing it. Apple, Microsoft, and OpenAI all run their payments on it.

Why does Stripe ask to connect my bank login?

It's verifying that the bank account is real and that you actually own it. This is the same technology used by Venmo, Robinhood, and Chime when they link a bank. The access is read-only — Stripe cannot move money out of your account, make purchases, or share anything with us. It's used once to confirm the link, then your payouts simply land in your bank.

Can I skip that screen and just type my routing number?

Yes. On the bank-link step, look for "Enter bank details manually". You type your routing and account number like a paycheck setup. Stripe sends two small test deposits to verify, which takes 1–3 business days. The login flow finishes in 30 seconds; the manual flow takes a few days. Either one works — pick what feels right.

Is Stripe actually secure?

Stripe is certified PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest payment security tier that exists, the same standard banks are held to. They've maintained it for over 11 consecutive years, audited annually by an independent assessor. Last year they processed $1.4 trillion in payments with 99.999% uptime.

What does GratyShare see about me or my customers?

Very little, on purpose. We see your business name, the amount of each Graty sold, and the date. We never see card numbers, customer card data, or your bank details — Stripe handles all of that, and we couldn't see them even if we wanted to. That's the whole point of using Stripe.

There's no monthly fee — we take 4% only when a Graty is purchased. If a Graty isn't redeemed within 3 months, the value goes to your staff, not to us.
